She has also done her Master’s Degree and M.Phil in Sanskrit. She has learned acting from National School of Drama, New Delhi.
In 1980s, she was young and that time she had fallen in love with a west indian cricketer named Vivian Richards. She has daughter from Vivian Richards. Masaba Gupta is her daughter. She is a fashion designer. Neena never got married to Vivian because he was already married with another woman. Later in 2008, Neena was on trip to United States, where she married with Vivek Mehra. He is a chartered accountant in Delhi.
